Day 1 TASHKENT

Arrival in Tashkent. Transfer to a hotel. PM Visit Applied Arts Museum and Navoi theatre, Mardassah Kukeldash, Barak Khan mosque, Tilla Sheikh mosque and walk through the Chorsu bazaar. Lunch. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2 TASHKENT-URGENCH (by air)

After breakfast transfer to the airport for flight to Urgench. On arrival city tour of Khiva. Visit Ichan Kala complex: Madrasah Allakuli Khan, Madrasah Muhammad Amin Khan, Kunya Ark, Kelte Minar, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, Islam Khodzha Minaret, Madrasah Mukhammad Rahimkhan,
Juma Mosque, Tash Hovli Palace. Lunch at private house. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 3 URGENCH-BUKHARA (480 km, 8 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Bukhara with box-lunch. Arrive in Bukhara and transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 BUKHARA

After breakfast full day city tour of Bukhara. Visit Ark fortress, Bolo Hauze Mosque, Ismail Samanids mausoleum. Lunch at local restaurant. PM visit Sitorai Mohi Hosa, Minaret Kalyan, Madrassah Ulugbek, Taqi, Ancient Silk Market, Magoki Attori mosque and Labi Hauz complex. Evening enjoy Folklore Show (if desired). Dinner at madrassah/hotel restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5 BUKHARA-GIJDUVAN-SAMARKAND (300 km)

After breakfast drive to Samarkand via Gijduvan. Visit famous Gijduvan ceramist’s family. Lunch at ceramist’s family. PM drive to Samarkand. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 SAMARKAND

After breakfast full day city tour of Samarkand. Visit Registan square (Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tilla Kari Madrassahs), Gur Emir Mausoleum, Bibi Khanum mosque and bazaar. Lunch at local restaurant. PM visit Shakhi Zinda necropolis, Afrasiab Museum and hills, Observatory of Ulugbek. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 SAMARKAND-SHAKHRISABZ-SAMARKAND (170 km one-way)

After breakfast drive to Shakhrisabz. On arrival sightseeing of Shakhrisabz. Shakhrisabz is one of the most beautiful towns in Central Asia. Visit Aksarai, Mausoleum of Kuk-Gumbaz and Gumbazi Sayidon, Mausoleum of Djakhangir and Hasrati Imam Mosque. Lunch at local/Shakhrisabz Hotel restaurant. PM return to Samarkand. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 SAMARKAND-TASHKENT (280 km, 5 hrs)-FERGHANA (by air)

After breakfast drive to Tashkent. Transfer to airport for HY flight to Ferghana. Lunch. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 9 FERGHANA

Sightseeing in Margelan and Rishtan. Visit the Silk Factory “Edgorlik” in Margilan. Transfer to Rishtan (51 km) and visiting of ceramic workshop of Rustam Usmanov. Transfer back to Fergana late in the afternoon. Lunch. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10 FERGHANA-ANDIJAN-OSH (110 km)

Transfer to Andijan. Then transfer to frontier point ‘Dustlik”. Transfer to Osh. City tour in Osh. Osh is Kyrghystan’s second city (population 200,000), and the oldest in Ferghana Valley. Osh is gateway to the CIS highest mountains. Visit Suleiman Gora the “Throne of Suleiman”, the craggy hill in the middle of city where, according to unfounded legend, the Prophet once prayed. Many visitors are childless women who hope that by praying here they may conceive. Museum of local studies (closed Monday & Tuesday) and visit lively bazaar. Overnight stay in the private guesthouse.

Day 11 OSH-KAZARMAN (300 km)

Transfer to Kazarman. Visit Karahanid’s minarets (X-XIII C.) in the town of Uzgen. Family run accommodation. Lunch. Dinner.

Day 12 KAZARMAN-SON-KUL LAKE

Transfer to Son-Kul Lake (3000 m above sea level). You will live in a yurta – traditional house of the nomads. Lunch. Dinner.

Day 13 SON-KUL LAKE

Free day on Son-Kul. You can enjoy the fresh, clean air of mountain walking on the surrounding hills. Lunch. Dinner. Overnight in the yurta camp.

Day 14 SON-KUL LAKE-TASH RABAT (250 km)

Trip to Tash-Rabat. There are beautiful, high, mountain valleys along the route. Visit a historical resting place on the Great Silk Road – the Tash-Rabat Caravan-Sarai (12th C.). Lunch. Dinner. Overnight in the yurta camp there.

Day 15 TASH RABAT-KOCHKOR VILLAGE (250 km)

Transfer to Kochkor village. Visit a felt carpet workshop, where you can buy souvenirs and even produce them yourself. Lunch. Dinner. Overnight in family run accommodation.

Day 16 KOCHKOR VILLAGE-CHOLPON-ATA (150 km)

Transfer to Cholpon-Ata (150 km) along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake the second biggest mountain lake in the world. Lunch. Dinner. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 17 CHOLPON-ATA

Free day in a resort on the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. You can relax on the beach under the tender Kyrgyz sun or walk along the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake and enjoy the fresh, sea air. Lunch. Dinner. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 18 CHOLPON-ATA – TAMCHY – BISHKEK (250 km)

Transfer to Tamchy. Here, in a local workshop you can watch how felt pictures are produced. On the way to Bishkek you visit the Burana Tower (XI C.) the remains of Karakhanid’s empire in Central Asia. Lunch. Dinner. Accommodation in hotel.

Day 19 DEPARTURE

Transfer to airport for departure flight.
